Cork Golf Club
First Established: 1888
Designed By: Alister MacKenzie
Cork Golf Club runs adjacent to the truly picturesque and tranquil Cork Harbour and is positioned, in parts, within an old limestone quarry. Over the years this historical, mature course has been carefully tweaked and sensitively added to, with the relatively recent admirable purpose of restoring the course to that originally intended by Mr. MacKenzie.
Not only is the setting of Cork Golf Club famously scenic but the course itself possesses a golfing splendour, with MacKenzie-designed undulating, tiered greens and sensitively-placed, dramatically-contoured bunkers, providing a true yet fair challenge to your game.
The relatively recent work carried out at Cork Golf Club has deservedly garnered praise, and the club has been awarded the prestigious honour of Munster Club of the Year 2016, and has won, over numerous recent years, Best Parkland Course in Munster.
