Also known as Baltray, County Louth Golf Club is a quality links course described by Golf World magazine as, “one of the best kept secrets of Irish golf…this has to be one of the most enjoyable Links in Ireland and undoubtedly represents superb value. There is not a weak hole on the course and some of the holes merit greatness.”
Having hosted the Irish Open on two occasions, in 2004 and 2009 (won by a young amateur called Shane Lowry), there is both an excellent pedigree and intelligent layout to this course, set on 190 acres of coastal terrain; it truly feels as if you’re playing each hole in a completely new direction through the dunes, which provides a thoroughly enjoyable challenge throughout your round.
