Waterville Golf Links
First Established: 1889
Designed By: John A. Mulcahy, Eddie Hackett, and Claude Harmon (Masters champion and father of Butch Harmon)
Located in County Kerry, next to the particularly picturesque Ballinskelligs Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean, lies one of the world’s foremost celebrated links courses, whose membership includes names such as Mark O’Meara and Tiger Woods. During a ceremony at the 1998 Ryder Cup in Brookline, Payne Stewart accepted what sadly turned out to be his final golfing honour – the Captaincy of Waterville Golf Links.
This links course benefits from its picture-perfect setting surrounded by beautiful, gently undulating dune-land, and further afield by the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and Caha Mountains, but Waterville course in its own right provides a naturally sculpted splendour and memorable, fair golfing challenge that you will tremendously relish.
